You will find us in hall 4.0, F 22 – We look forward to seeing you.

Magandang araw!
Who is the world's second-largest coconut producer? Which country has more than 170 languages spoken? And where are jeepneys a permanent fixture on the streets? The Philippines. An archipelago of more than 7,000 islands. So there is a lot to discover at this year's Guest of Honor at the Frankfurter Buchmesse.
The Philippines' presentation is themed “Imagination peoples the air”. An up-to-date overview of the guest country's literature is available in VLB-TIX. And, of course, we have also designed an edition of our popular “BOOKS. BOOKS? BOOKS!” postcard for the Philippines.
In addition to our specialist format MVB-Austausch, where we discuss issues that are currently of interest to people in the book industry, this year we are offering themed consultation hours on our services every afternoon from Wednesday to Friday during the fair.
And as always, in line with the #fbm25 motto “Only at FBM”: Only here can you meet colleagues from all five MVB locations in Germany, Brazil, Mexico, the USA, and the United Kingdom in one place.
You can find all information about our trade fair appearance at #fbm25 on this page.
See you soon and Paalam in Frankfurt
Your MVB team

Book Recommendations for Event Highlights

We asked publishers for their recommendations for titles with event highlights at #fbm25. The result is a varied VLB-TIX catalogue with new releases for every taste. These reading tips give a little taste of Frankfurt Buchmesse's program. Have fun browsing!
With Passion for the Philippines

AKLAT. AKLAT? AKLAT! – BOOK. BOOK? BOOK!
What could be better than celebrating the world of books together? For example, with a journey of discovery through Philippine literature, which is this year's guest of honor at the Frankfurt Book Fair under the motto “The Imagination peoples the Air". We are very much looking forward to the program and the many new publications, and wish all visitors lots of fun discovering them!
An overview of the current titles is also available as a separate preview on our new releases platform VLB-TIX.
PS: Our fantastic guest country postcard is available free of charge at our stand – and, of course, at the information desk for the Guest of Honor 2025 in Forum 1. Be quick, it's worth it!
With Passion for Gifting the Joy of Reading

“Check in now!” is the motto for all bookstores that want to offer the Germany-wide Büchergutschein (book voucher). This will gradually replace the previous book check – the last day of sale for which is Tuesday, March 31, 2026.
With the Büchergutschein, bookstores and retailers are now jointly focusing on a strong brand that leads customers exclusively to local partner bookstores.
In the background, new digital processes facilitate sales, acceptance, and billing. Over 100 pilot bookstores have put our new service to the test in advance. With the experience and suggestions gathered there, we were able to put the finishing touches on the book voucher for the product range.
More information (in German): www.mvb-online.de/buechergutschein
Important: Due to the adjusted conditions of participation, existing partner bookstores of the book check must also re-register.
With Passion for Creators

Do you have a favorite author? How would you like to receive an automatic notification as soon as a new book by them is published? Or to find all the latest information about them on one central page? Great, right?!
Such services can be used to trigger precisely targeted purchasing impulses. This requires the widespread use of the International Standard Name Identifier (ISNI) or its counterpart in the scientific field, the Open Researcher and Contributor ID (ORCID). That is why we have made the unique, personal link in the Verzeichnis Lieferbarer Bücher (VLB) directory a status-relevant piece of information this year.
As a publisher, you have until December 31, 2025, to report your classifications to us.
Tip: First aid regarding identification numbers for authors is available during our MVB Consultation Hours at the Frankfurter Buchmesse (see above). And if you are looking to exchange ideas with colleagues on this topic, then our MVB Austausch: Authors as a Selling Point is the event for you. Either way, come and visit us!
With Passion for Sustainability

Whether it's about daily shopping, product selection, or the future of your business, sustainability is no longer a marginal issue, but a central task for the entire book trade.
An important step in this direction is the conscious use of printed previews. By adding your bookstore to our list and making your position on printed previews visible, you are sending a clear message: for a responsible, future-oriented book trade that will enable future generations to enjoy a diverse book culture.
We would be happy to engage in dialogue with you at our events: In the MVB exchange for bookstores and VLB-TIX and in the free webinar climate-conscious book retailing, we give you concrete ideas on how ecological action and economic efficiency can go hand in hand.
Play an active role in shaping change!
With Passion for Customer Loyalty

Buchjournal, our customer magazine for bookstores, is getting even better:
New formats and a new design make it even more enjoyable to read
We are continuing to develop the customer magazine in close collaboration with readers, booksellers who use it to promote their expertise and services, and publishers who present their new releases in Buchjournal.
The current issue of Buchjournal (03-2025) already contains new elements: bestseller lists for fiction, crime novels, and nonfiction provide additional guidance. Editorial background reports offer a glimpse behind the scenes of everyday book trade life, and there is a new coloring page for children in the expanded “Kids & Teens” section. QR codes on the featured books lead to reading samples and/or prize contests.
Starting in November, Buchjournal will also appear in a new look, with clear imagery and a concise layout. Further information: medien.mvb-online.de/neues-buchjournal
Bookstores and publishers can get an exclusive preview of the new Buchjournal in advance during individual online appointments: to book an appointment.
With Passion for Product Groups

Romantasy, sick lit, or new adult—these genres are currently conquering the bestseller lists and captivating a growing readership. For publishers and bookstores, this means fresh momentum, additional sales, and new customers.
Starting this year, new releases and backlist titles from the strong segments of "New Adult", "Young Adult", and "Entertainment" (main target group: female readers) can be classified even more precisely.
The appropriate codes for product groups and sub-genres have been available in the Directory of Available Books (VLB) since the beginning of March. All details can be found in a compact form on the VLB website.
In this preview, publishers recommend their products for these new product groups. Click through the preview to see the main titles.
Enjoy discovering them.
Be quick: bookstores that decide to start working with VLB can now take advantage of smart discounts.
2-for-1 offer: with an active subscription, you automatically get VLB-TIX Premium. This simplifies your purchasing, creates active buying incentives through bookstore previews, and allows you to take advantage of optimal partnerships with selected merchandise management providers.
With Passion for Calendars

As summer approaches its final stretch, calendar season begins. To brighten up walls, enrich workplaces, and support family plans, calendars need one thing above all else: a visible sales offer.
What better platform than retail –both online and in-store? Sustainable, digital communication channels are ideal for increasing the visibility of calendars for retailers. We're happy to accompany you on this journey and, in keeping with #fbm25, have compiled five tips for you on how to optimally present your calendars on VLB-TIX.
Are you curious? Do you have experiences to share? Or simply want to discuss the calendar market? During MVB-Austausch: Increase Visibility – from Horse to Tear-off Calendars you have the opportunity to do so.
With Passion for Metadata

Everything constantly changing?! – Shore in sight instead of shipwreck. This is the motto of this year’s MVB Data Summit. At our online conference for successful metadata management, everything in 2025 will revolve around orientation.
Based on ideas, best practice examples, and new business models, participants will discuss current issues in order to set the right course when working with metadata. We look forward to seeing you there – ship ahoy!
With Passion for Young Professionals

Shortage of skilled workers? It doesn't have to be that way! We can help you find the right young talent for your company. Place your free ad now on medien.jobs. Our job market is also a partner of Young Professionals Day at the Frankfurter Buchmesse.
Young people who are interested in working for and with books should also stop by the Börsenverein Group's Azubistro in Hall 1.2, F 27. There you will find a wealth of information about training and further education in our wonderful industry, as well as a varied program of events.
We will also be presenting ourselves as an employer at the MVB Consultation Hour: Working at the Börsenverein Group. Further information is available at: www.boersenvereinsgruppe.de
Last but not least, as part of the Frankfurter Buchmesse, we at the Börsenverein Group are once again honoring an outstanding personality under the age of 39 who is making a difference in the book industry with the Börsenblatt Young Excellence Award. The #yeaward25 goes to Tobias Groß, bookseller and former spokesperson for the Zukunftsparlament (Future Parliament) of the Börsenverein des Deutschen Buchhandels (German Publishers and Booksellers Association). Congratulations!
With Passion for Self-Publishing

Wether for your assortment design, your program planning or for your own reading supplies: with our Livro joint exhibition (Hall 3.0, C 97) and the Livro exhibition catalogue, you will find orientation in the extensive range of books from small and independent publishers.
